Today we kick off our 10th annual Trillium Software customer conference in Orlando. I'm so excited to learn things I don't know! As always, we're excited because it's another one of those incredibly-critical opportunities to talk to our clients in person. I learn so much from our clients - ways to improve our company, ways to improve our solutions - but even more important, they tell us what is going on in their world. We learn about their data quality pain and how data issues impact their business results.
More and more, I’m talking with people from the business side of their organizations – not just the internal IT departments – about their data quality challenges. This is the beginning of a fundamental shift, or at least a balancing, of the type of people who concern themselves with the quality of their data.
Now, keep in mind, marketing and sales people have always been worried about data quality, but normally, they have allowed the IT team to be responsible for the quality of the information that flows through the organizations infrastructure.
